I keep looking at this or a Radiation monitor as the next addition to the weather station(Davis) / meteor camera (pi)/ allsky camera (pi) and allsky meteor camera (AMS219 custom system) I have but Im not sure due to a couple of things
1) Im in Peterhead and understand it needs 7 stations to register the strike but as Scotland only seems to get 1 storm a year (Seems more recently) not sure if it would be a worthwile investment.
2) I understand its not plug and play but my soldering is rubbish so would probbably be looking at purching a used built system, What sort of price rage and what do I need to be aware off.
Im just investigating at the moment.
Thanks in advance
Ian

Hi guys,
I have a "red" system and my controller is no longer accessible via the web interface. I have done the latest update, but before that there were already problems with accessibility. I always get the message "Timeout". The display on the controller is also dark.
How can I connect to the controller without the web interface?

Hello the list,
I received an invitation yesterday to buy a system blue and would like to order using PayPal.
Can anyone give me the instructions on how to pay? I need to know what email or Paypal user i.d. to send the payment to.
Thank you.

Hi! Im working on a hobby project to calculate the rough distance of what the sound of thunder travels depending on the peakcurrent. In rough terms, could this table be used for making rough calculations if we consider optimal conditions or is there a peak distance that the sound can travel regardless the peakcurrent?
- Peak Current: 0-10 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 2-4 km
- Peak Current: 10-20 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 4-6 km
- Peak Current: 20-30 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 6-8 km
- Peak Current: 30-40 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 8-10 km
- Peak Current: 40-50 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 10-12 km
- Peak Current: 50-60 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 12-14 km
- Peak Current: 60-70 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 14-16 km
- Peak Current: 70-80 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 16-18 km
- Peak Current: 80-90 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 18-20 km
- Peak Current: 90-100 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 20-22 km
- Peak Current: 100-110 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 22-24 km
- Peak Current: 110-120 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 24-26 km
- Peak Current: 120-130 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 26-28 km
- Peak Current: 130-140 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 28-30 km
- Peak Current: 140-150 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 30-32 km
- Peak Current: 150-160 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 32-34 km
- Peak Current: 160-170 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 34-36 km
- Peak Current: 170-180 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 36-38 km
- Peak Current: 180-190 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 38-40 km
- Peak Current: 190-200 kA, Maximum Audible Distance: 40-42 km

Hi,
I wanted to ask if there is a problem with the website in combination with Chromium-based browsers (for example Chrome or Brave (without ad blocker)). On these browsers, the screen with the live map remains white on cell phones, Windows or Linux. The problem has been occurring since the middle of last week. Microsoft Edge or Firefox work perfectly. Many THANKS, Andi
