What do the yellow triangles represent?
Posted by: OHFW Bill - 2019-06-25, 16:41 - Forum: Website, Maps and Applications - Replies (2)

I am using this tool to help deal with wildfires in our area. We are quite dry in north central Washington State, US during the summer and next to human activity lightning strikes are the most common causes of fire starts.

When I zoom deeply into the map I see a number of yellowish triangles. I can not find any information that states what they mean, could someone please let me know.

Thank you.

  Electric fence interference
Posted by: Alanpenwith - 2019-06-03, 19:32 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (10)

Hi
I am pretty sure I have been getting interference from an electric fence. It was only abut 20M away from my antennas but has now been moved further away. I have set the gains right down but now hardly ever pick up lightning. Maybe better than swamping the servers with useless signals.
So A) can anyone identify the trace below as really being the fence and B) would direct earthing of the H field shields help. Or any other tips for that matter.
Thanks
Alan

  PCB 19.5
Posted by: toutoumeteo - 2019-06-02, 16:59 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (4)

I just received my kit, systhem blue. The main PCB board is the 19.5. In the documentation (see link below), there is no mention of this board, only 19.4 and earlier. I assume the instructions for the 19.4 applies to the 19.5. Is that correct or is there any thing new that I should know about?

Thanks

P.S. if any body has a picture of a complete mounted PCB 19.5 to post that would be very usefull.

  Ortungsfunktion
Posted by: KraftDie - 2019-06-02, 14:25 - Forum: Non-English - Replies (5)

Hallo,zusammen,

Aktuell, ist mir überhaupt nicht klar warum die Ortungen des systems red 720 oder blue 2058 so gering sind.
An manchen Tagen „0“ obwohl der Controller was ganz anderes aussagt ????

pomoc w uruchomieniu zestawu, mazowieckie, Sokołów Podlaski

New User / Looking for assembling assistance
Posted by: DocSlyper - 2019-05-27, 14:33 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Hey there,
I've found this interesting project while searching around for some things regarding my little weather station. I've also entered the "cover your area" list because I want to setup a station in Lagos, Nigeria for the remaining time we're living here. Due to the fact that I'm not that familiar with all the assembling stuff (e.g. soldering) I'm looking for someone in Germany who can assist me with this.

If there is anyone who is interested in some soldering work, please feel free to contact me (German or English).
Costs for transport etc. will be covered.

Thanks in advance and best regards from Lagos

  Map Annotation S:
Posted by: RanHug00 - 2019-05-19, 13:05 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Hello. Blitzortung is a fabulous undertaking. Great work!

On lightningmaps.org, for example, can the map legend information please be updated to describe the meaning of the mapped strike annotations, specifically the "S:" (e.g. S: 13/58)?  I'm sure its documented somewhere, but I cannot find an explanation in the FAQ nor the forums.

Thanks.
