  Moving: Anything to do?
Posted by: acatalano - 2021-08-10, 20:57 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

I plan on moving within the next few months from Colorado to Washington State. Other than taking down at one location and setting it up in another, is there anything I should do?

  Station Duplicates
Posted by: acatalano - 2021-08-10, 20:49 - Forum: Website, Maps and Applications - Replies (2)

Just within the last week I have seen that the Colorado Station Statistics table (https://www.blitzortung.org/en/station_l...F+Colorado) shows many, perhaps all the stations listed twice, each with different statistics for "valid", "involved", "used". Looks like something is amiss here.
Just an FYI.

  GPS data via tcp/ip
Posted by: pmichniewski - 2021-08-09, 19:01 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (7)

Hello,

how feasible would it be for System Blue to optionally serve GPS data via tcp/ip? I've recently set up a Raspberry Pi for ADS-B reception purposes and it would nice to have access to GPS data but I don't want to have GPS antennas all over. Since System Blue already connects to the network AND has a GPS receiver, it would be a very useful option to have.

If the developers are too busy for this kind of thing, I would gladly implement such a feature.

  Issue starting Sunday August 1st at 13.00
Posted by: PA4EME - 2021-08-07, 11:09 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Gents,

I noticed that my receiver was working not as it should and suspected to find a technical issue here at home.

Looking into it, I could not find any and checked some other stations and found the same issue. So it must be a mutual problem.

It seems that from Sunday, August 1st around 13.00, something is going wrong. When I look at the list of stations in eg the Netherlands, I see the same issue starting at the same time. The number of detections dropping suddenly and the same color pattern in the image.
As example I added images from myself (1152) and from 1271; you can clearly see same pattern and start of disturbance.

Something going on in the collective system?

Regards,

Frank Veldhuijsen

  Detecting in other Zones?
Posted by: actiopabs94 - 2021-08-07, 10:11 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Is there any way to be able to detect strikes in other zones in the world (Oceania or Europe).  I'm just curious how far away I can detect strikes.  Hawaii is the most distant location for me and I usually detect strikes there when they occur.  Thank you all in advance .

  [Iframe] MapStyleRangeValue not working
Posted by: kaaremai - 2021-08-04, 09:39 - Forum: Website, Maps and Applications - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm using the following iframe link values:

NavigationControl=0
FullScreenControl=0
Advertisment=0
Cookies=0
MapStyle=2
MapStyleRangeValue=1
CirclesCheckboxChecked=1
CirclesRangeValue=5
AudioCheckboxChecked=1
AudioRangeValue=10
LightningCheckboxChecked=1
LightningRangeValue=6

However it ignores the MapStyleRangeValue and thus shows the map in a very dark state. If i then activate the hamburger menu and just moves the slider 1 number to either side, it updates the rendering so it seems that the javascript code isn't reading the MapStyleRangeValue url parameter properly when the website is first initialized.

Is there any fix for this? Otherwise it's working great!

  map.blitzortung.org down???
Posted by: orion_jb2001 - 2021-08-02, 12:18 - Forum: Website, Maps and Applications - Replies (8)

Hi all,

Is there a problem with the above site?? It has been down most of the day and whilst it is showing your last signal details and maximum and minmum data, it is not populating the graphs showing your station operational curve graphs.

regards,

Jeff

  3.3 Mh Inductors for Main Board and E-field
Posted by: TheBigDon - 2021-07-30, 23:02 - Forum: Hardware, Software, Lightning Physics - Replies (2)

.jpg   E-field.jpg (Size: 815.76 KB / Downloads: 24) Folks, I am stumped.

Have both board soldered and ready to go, sands the inductors for the main board and the e-field antenna.

Where the heck am I supposed to attach the inductors , directly the L403 component, or to the THT components just below it.

The same on the E-field board  - there are two THT slots.  But the same bar on L1.  The holes do not seem to be right.

It is possible I am reading the instruction incorrectly.  But man I am stumped.
