Detected Lightning strikes subsequently disappearing |

We had a spell of thunder in Central Scotland on 3rd May and the Real Time Lightning page indicated the strikes near me, which tied in well with the sounds. However they soon disappeared off the display, and even selecting the -24hr option did not bring them back, though I can still see the earlier ones to the east before they reached here.
I've noticed this before, strikes that were picked up in real time but then disappeared from the -1h -24h and archive pages.

New system - not certain if it work |

I purchased a system #3024 from a gentleman in Germany.
It arrived, I have plugged it in and it seems to be working, however I have noticed that on the lightningmaps.org my system never gets a hit - i.e. I can see my station but I never have any lines nor a "green dot" saying my station has been used by the system to updated the web interface.
Since my system was orginally in Europe and is now in North America (Toronto) is there anything I need to get it up and running properly in it's new location?
Thanks,
Robert

Hello I have just purchased a second hand blue station in addition to my red 2421 and I cannot get the data on the lightningmaps.org site, it switches to the data of my red.
And second point more hardwear, I I have channel 1C which doesn't seem to work (I changed the cable between the amp: it's the same thing and changing the ferite same thing) does anyone have an idea?
Many thanks

Hi everyone, i’m trying to figure out a feature for lightingmaps.org. I remember at one point you could drop a pin marker on the map type in a radius/diameter and it would list out the 10 or so most recent strikes for that area. Is this still a feature and if so where is it?

Station 1613 owner change |

I recently purchased station 1613. The instructions indicate that only new stations will have an account request link. Can I get a participant account created and the station moved to my account?
The station was in Australia but is now in North America, I see it seems to be connecting to both regions and reading this seems not unusual to connect to more than one region but some numbers seem a little 'off' ( the used/involved numbers seemed high in Oceania and low in the US for a few days but that is now shifting ). I've also been improving the antenna/antenna location but the ramp in signals used seems in some ways to be more effected by time its been running?
Lightingmaps seems to have some slight oddities:
https://www.lightningmaps.org/blitzortun...on_id=2315
Seems to always show 0 strokes & 0 signals, 0% ratio
https://www.lightningmaps.org/?lang=en#g...dl=9;dc=0;
Doesn't seem to have a marker for the station (are those using the settings from the owner for location or the GPS data from the station?)
Excited to have a station and keep improving its reception / learning more about the signals and processing. This is a really cool project, thanks!

computed lightning data documentation |

Hi,
I would have some questions about the meaning of some fields in the files we can download to access to the raw data.
I read the documentation on the Compendium page but I noticed some differences :
- the field "polarity", expected to be -1 or +1 is always 0 ?
- what is the meaning of the optional "status" field ? (which appears to be 0, 1 or 2)
- the status of the signal, explained to be in 3 bits, is always equals to 1, 2, 4, 9 or 12, so it's a 4-bits code and don't know the meaning of it ?
- When downloading archived data, there is a kmz file which is only 20 bytes, so it's empty ?
Thanks in advance if someone could explain me.
