And if you set the switch to 10 Mb half duplex? The ENC28J60 is configured to be in half duplex mode as per a post further up this thread.
If you still get CRC errors I'd be getting the scope out to see what is going on with signal levels.
ENC28J60:
Pins 13 and 12 are Tx+ & Tx-, RJ45 Pins 1 & 2 Org/Wht & Org.
Pins 17 and 16 are Rx+ & Rx-, RJ45 Pins 3 & 6 Grn/Wht & Grn.
No scope, give a close examination to the joints of the components between the socket and chip, are the errors in both directions or only one?
