Question
hi,
i have some questions about the antena of the blue system.

1) as i remeber right i need the h-field amplifier with the ferrite antena and i need the e-field amplier. the e-field works with a normal wire antena right???

2) were can i place those antena corectly? the h-field in my room and the e-field somwhere outside? because i only have a terace and so i dont know if the e-field antena workes there. can i place it at the attic or somewhere at the roof?? is this enought?

thank you for the help Smile

You did well with the English!
Regardless of antenna types, they should be well away from any noise makers.... you'll have to search for best location!  E field should be outside, at least a few meters above ground, as far away from buildings, power equipment, any other noise, as far as is feasible.
H Fields do fine indoors.. IF.. no light dimmers, well away from any computer equipment, various light devices, dimmers, power tools.. any thing that generates noise will turn you into a crazy person pretty quickly.
Follow the assembly instructions for BLUE and refer to the RED Document for some discussion on the antennas...

1) You don't need both antennas, you'll be fine with either an H-field or E-field antenna.
2) I might be wrong, but I believe the H-field antenna (ferrites, loop antennas etc.) CAN be placed inside and still produce good results. The E-field antenna is sensitive to noise in the electric field and should not be placed inside, the E-field can be quite noisy due to other electronics.

mhhh ok thanks for the fast answer. so i think i have to find a new location. because everywere in my room is electric noise. i dont think that 2m are enought space. or does the wall between pc (for example) and antenna block noise??

@Jorgeminator: ahhhh it works onliy with one antenna? thats interesting thank you.

and one more question....
how can i find the best location? is there a monitor were i can see the dicisive from the antenna. or do i have to upgrade the main board for the oscilloscope?

You access the system with your browser,.. all settings and visuals are in the web interface...
There is a Noise Thread at WxForum net... and much about operation, Much of what is there pertains to RED System settings, and there are some differences, but you can get an education there. You may have to join to see some attached images.

Hello! I have checked the link given above and wanted to ask whether this is https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?PHPSES...ic=20439.0 what you've meant?

Yes... do keep in mind that there are noise sources that aren't 'illustrated',  or discussed, and some are difficult to resolve...  There are many threads on this forum about some difficult, specific situations, most of which are in the operator's boards, not in public.  Most noise is inherent in the VLF band, and much can be traced to faulty DC power supplies, mains power issues, etc. Single biggest issue is location, location, location.
