Yup, I think so too. We seem to get quite a few of them now, expecially with L.L.M. stuff around now they are only going to get better at fooling us.
With reguards to the orignal post, a google suggests 30kA is in a lighting strike but once it hits ground its going to disapate very quickly.
A read of https://ledaelectronics.com.au/wp-conten...oEarth.pdf does show some examples of resistance per cm. Depending on soil and mosture it does change.

This talks about why a 13 mm / 0.5" bit of Lightning rod can keep a building safe even at 400 kA.
I would still suggest avoiding being in the path of it.
