My LAN cable is not shielded. But I did not want to make wrong recommendations, thus I had a look into the official document here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KzPZ...l4st8he5ur which is linked from here http://de.blitzortung.org/cover_your_area.php. It says the following

Maybe this statement is outdated.
