Kit Construction
#1
I've been actively experimenting with sferics receiver, and TOA lighting detectors for several years. Very interested in adding a detector at my home in Central Alabama (near Birmingham) in the Southeastern US.

Unfortunately, time has robbed me of my eyesight for close-up work, and made my hands too unsteady for SMT type soldering. I'm looking for another forum member who would be willing to assemble the kit on my behalf. Happy to have complete kit shipped directly to your location. I can also pay you for your time and labor via PayPal, or money order.

If you're interested please contact me by PM or offline. I'm grateful for any assistance.

Hi Les, welcome aboard!
A lot of us hang out also at http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?board=115.0, and you might go introduce yourself there. Unfortunately I'm in a similar situation, but there are a couple of folks who have done some kit building. Smile
Mike

Hi Les, I'm happy to help out - but being located in Australia I suspect the extra freight might be problematic.

Ross,

Thank you for your kind offer of assistance. I do have immediate access to a suitable station location, and would be happy to reimburse you for both the cost of the unit, your labor involved in building it, and shipping to the USA. Could you think about that a bit, and let me know how much it's worth to you?

I'm having trouble sending e-mails through the forum, but I'm "good on QRZ.com" as they say, and you can find my e-mail address there.

Again, thank you.

Les,

As Cutty suggested, check-out the Blitzortung board on the wxforum website (http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?board=115.0). You are more likely to find someone in the USA on that forum.
