Sky News - accuracy of data - adamparker - 2021-05-12 Hi all, Adam here from Sky News. We had a horrible incident last night in the UK where a boy was killed by a lightning strike. I wanted to ask about the accuracy of the mapping and how much margin of error there is likely to be? I am considering taking a screenshot to show lightning strikes happening in the area around the time of the incident. Thanks for your help RE: Sky News - accuracy of data - cutty - 2021-05-12 (2021-05-12, 07:22)adamparker Wrote: Hi all, Margin of COMPUTED assumed error could be calculated using the "Deviation" number for any stroke. From the 'Real-Time' Vector Maps, for example... the actual 'ground point' physical location can vary greatly. |
