there is no raspberry version for this project. Today only the blue kit is available.

Cutty, is there not a situation where one may want to maximise detection distance? For example when you run a station which is far away from other stations, maybe on an rather isolated island?

He is talking about quality of data. I have seen my detector catching strikes 2500 km away.

Further away you have to contend with local noise, weak signals, sky waves, and other problems.

Really need more detectors if you are on an island, look at Hawaii for example.

Would be neat if the universities stepped and placed station at some of their remote campuses.

No one here can answer that.
May a lot. Maybe minimum.
Maybe None.
Blitzortung is "standard"... it's the environment that's different, and changing hourly, seasonaly.
This is NOT plug and play, or predict from a map.

Are you using agood shielded network cable to the H preamp?
The H preamp cable is plugged in to the correct Net Connector?

Hi Malyan,

Can you start a new topic over in Station Hardware and Firmware > Troubleshooting? Giving a summary of your problems.

The red H field pre-amp LED going out shouldn't happen and helping to find the cause might be a long discussion. This forum and topic isn't really the place for that discussion.

Reply here when you have otherwise it might be a while before I notice.  B-)

The email that was #6 or 9 yesterday and #1597 today is KY5G@montac.com.

I have looked through my email files and no email is in inbox, junk/spam, or trash with an invitation to order.

Could it please be resent?

It's the same as placing an order for one System Blue. You have to sign to the waiting list and if you're lucky, in a half year's time (at least) there will be your turn. Egon will contact you and ask you to place your order. You'll have to be really patient on this one.
